In early 2018 I discovered severe vulnerabilities in some smartwatches. The talk describes the vulnerabilities in detail and also the whole remediation process which is still going on and all packed in a nice story.

The talk “Watchgate - How stupid smartwatches threaten the security and safety of our children” shows a one year journey about my initial discovery, over a lot of communication with the vendor (very funny), some thoughts and ideas about how to make money with that kind of vulnerabilities from a black hat perspective and finally some firmware reversing to provide a fix for myself.
