TROOPERS15 - Charity

TROOPERS15 kicked off our second annual TROOPERS Charity Campaign, and here is the result!

For years we are enrolled to one single mission: Making the world a safer place. Partnering with organisations and initiatives who dedicate all their efforts towards a more general approach of making the world a better place was a long-held plan for us.

During TROOPERS15 we collected funds to continue supporting of last year's project UNHCR- Inter Lab for refugee Kids in South Sudan within the #do1thing campaign. You can read more about the project here: http://www.unhcr.ie/do1thing and check out the photos below that show the new computer lab and satelite our money helped build from the TROOPERS14 Charity Campaign. 

Some proceeds from the #TR15 Charity will be given to the Foundation of the Christengemeinschaft, who helps support a number of Ukrainian families who fled from Lugansk after the fighting broke out, leaving everything they own behind.

Attendees:

• Run to make the world a better place: The 10k TROOPERS Run was at 7:00 am on Thursday morning. Besides collecting kilometers, TROOPERS received an exclusive token for the TROOPERS challenge game.
• TROOPERS memorabilia: We had a nice variety of gadgets and souvenirs from past events which were auctioned to the highest bidders. All proceeds are donated.
• Going the extra mile: There was a donation box ready for additional funds. Thank you for those who dropped some money in the box!

Speakers:

• Some speakers with a corporate background declined to get reimbursed for their travel costs to TROOPERS. Instead they asked us to add those funds to the total donation sum. We like that idea and thank you for your generosity. 

ERNW – your TROOPERS host:

• For every kilometer achieved by a TROOPER during the 10k TROOPERS Run, ERNW donated 5 € into the funding pool.
