RIPE Atlas, Measuring the Internet
The Internet is an ever changing, ever growing entity maintained by a variety of stakeholders with a profoundly diverse set of interests. Monitoring this entity as a whole is difficult, but can provide ways to improve its overall management, troubleshooting, and security. To this end, RIPE Atlas employs a global network of probes that measure Internet connectivity and reachability, providing an unprecedented understanding of the state of the Internet in real time.
This presentation will provide a description of RIPE Atlas, an explanation of its usefulness and the different services it provides, and instruction on putting it to use. Some use cases will also be covered to provide real world examples of RIPE Atlas usability.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to get the most out of RIPE Atlas, and, for those who are not yet part of the RIPE Atlas community, to discover what RIPE Atlas could do for you.
