Storytellers

Tales from InfoSec and Beyond

You already got your fair share of professional IT security talks during the day? You want to spice up your experience with some juicy stories from the IT security world and beyond? You want to laugh and cheer with your fellow Troopers? You have the desire for an exclusive Troopers shirt? If you said yes to any of these, then you should check out the Troopers Storytellers event on Wednesday (26.06.2024).

What is Storytellers?

Storytellers is all about ending the first conference day in a relaxed and entertaining way. We want you to share interesting and entertaining stories with your fellow Troopers. We will provide the space, an audience, and a cozy atmosphere to tell your story. What your story will be about is totally up to you, as long as you can tell it within 20 minutes. Apart from the time limitation we don't have any requirements for your story, except that it should be interesting and entertaining to other Troopers.

What contents are interesting for other Troopers, you may ask. Well, you are a Trooper yourself! If you think your story is interesting for your peers, it most likely is! To give you an idea here are some examples of what a story could be:

  • You conducted a hilarious phishing campaign? Tell us!
  • You are doing cyber for a charity? Tell us about your good deeds!
  • You need to get something off your chest? You get the space for a little rant!
  • You have a weird hobby that is interesting? Show us!
  • We will have a screen on stage. So, if you like you can share slides or graphics, but you don't have to. The Storytellers sessions also won't be recorded.

    How can I participate?

If you already know your story, submit it here. Don't worry, it is not a full-blown CfP, we just want a short description of what you want to talk about and who you are. This will help us to plan a timeline and have the correct t-shirt sizes on-site. If you submit an idea you will be notified within 10 days after submission. We will rate submissions on a first come, first serve basis.

If you have a spontaneous idea for a story, don't worry! You can submit until the last minute of the event. Just talk anybody of the crew, they will connect you to the right people.
